current mission and outreach opportunities

bvbc military ministry

This group strives to  provide a ministry focused on the unique needs and issues that face our military families. In today’s world of long deployments, frequent training exercises, and a transient lifestyle, military families need a ministry more than ever that understands what they are going through and can give them the support they need and deserve.  BVBC is committed to support our current active duty, reserve, and former veterans and their families as they serve our Lord by their service to our country and sacrifice for our freedoms.

food for his glory

BVBC is planning to support a feeding program for children living in the slums in Pune, India.  BVBC Mission teams that have visited India in the past two years have met these children, and the amazing servants that God has put into these children's lives, and are very excited about this opportunity for BVBC to get involved in a very real way in these young people's lives.  The BVBC ministry, Food For His Glory,  will give you the opportunity to sponsor one of these children throughout the upcoming church year (September - August) for a donation of just $10 a month.  That donation will provide your sponsored  child one meal every day for the month.  This is a great way for a family or Sunday school to care for a child in need.
Beginning in September, stop by the Food for His Glory table in the foyer to choose a child you would like to sponsor.

good news club

If you have a desire to teach the Good News of Jesus to grade school children in a school setting, please consider becoming a member of our Good News Club team.  We hold weekly after- school club meetings at Sunnyside Elementary School in Olathe, beginning Sept. 17, 2014 and continuing through the school year.   We are currently in need of a Prayer Coordinator and 3-4 assistant teachers.  We would also like to establish a new club at another Olathe elementary school.  Details on becoming a team member can be answered by Becky Jenkins  or

Ireta Zacharias.
