mission updates

We are organized around an ACTS 1:8 strategy:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”

It continues to be our desire that “missions” is not just another program at church.  We believe it is something that biblically should be a part of our individual and corporate DNA as followers of Jesus. So, to that end, every program, project, partnership, event, fellowship etc. is designed to help us make impacting the global community for Christ the core of everything we do. Many individuals, several Sunday School classes, and all of our ministry departments are regularly engaging the global community through official partnerships and projects, as well as individual volunteer investments of time with local ministries outside the wall of our church.

“It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. The new birth of man's spirit by God's Holy Spirit means the birth of love for others. Missionary effort on the part of all rests thus upon a spiritual necessity of the regenerate life, and is expressly and repeatedly commanded in the teachings of Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the gospel to all nations. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witness under girded by a Christian lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ.” -Baptist Faith and Message (2000)

End of the Earth | World Missions

We fully support our various mission boards (North American Mission Board & the International Mission Board) but also our other Southern Baptist entities such as Baptist Global Response, Kansas City Kansas Baptist Association, Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptist, our six SBC seminaries, and other SBC entities through our directed missions offerings and through the Cooperative Program giving.

The following mission’s offerings are collected each year, where 100% of everything given goes directly to the missionaries on the field for ministry:

  • Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (North American Missions)

  • Viola Web State Missions Offering (Kansas – Nebraska Missions)

  • Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (International Missions)
